The blood brother of the Late President John Evans Atta Mills, Samuel Atta Mills has asked persons seeking to poke their noses into their family affairs concerning the cause of death of his late brother, to mind their own business.<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He says he would rather the memory of his brother is honored with the contribution he made to the country as a lecturer, as a Vice President and as a President, and not the unwarranted fixation on the cause of death as has been the focus of some political commentators over the years.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Samuel Atta Mills, who is also the Member of Parliament for the Komenda\/Edina\/Eguafo\/Abrem (KEEA) constituency, his brother really served the country with all his might in modesty, humility, and honesty and therefore emphasis should be laid on these attributes in any attempt to eulogize his memory.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KEEA MP recounted how his brother, even as a sitting President, used to sleep under a leaking roof at the castle just because he refused to inconvenience Ghanaians with the presidential motorcade by shuffling between his home at the Spintex road and his office every morning and evening.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He made the comment on the Floor of Parliament on Thursday, July 21, 2022 in a contribution to a statement made by the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, to commemorate the 78th Birthday of the Late President Mills, who was born on 21st July 1944 in Tarkwa.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the North Tongu MP, the Late President Mills had some leadership qualities he exhibited while in office, which would better serve the interest of the country if leadership could emulate him.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marking the 10th anniversary of the departure of the late Professor to his ancestors, Mr. Ablakwa said, \u201cI intend to honor the memory of the Asomdwehene with these 10 \u201cMillsian\u201d attributes which I consider to be epitomizing and defining of the character of his works.\u201d
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said, \u201cProfessor John Evans Atta Mills left a legacy of high-grade integrity. He didn\u2019t have to say it, he just lived it. Both those of us who worked with him closely and those who observed him from afar knew that his true character was that of integrity.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThroughout his tenure as a lecturer, tax administrator, Vice President, and President, never was he embroiled in any scandal. That was a rare achievement for the extremely sensitive positions he held.\u201d
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other contributors to the statement from both sides of the House sang from the same hymn sheet which beautifully eulogized the memory of Ghana\u2019s 3rd President in the Fourth Republic, the Late President John Evans Atta Mills who sudden death was announced on July 24, 2012.
