Morocco\u2019s Majority Coalition Nominates Sidi Mohamed Oueld Errachid to Succeed Miyara as House Councillors President. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement released on October 11, 2022, the leadership of Morocco\u2019s majority coalition announced that it has decided to nominate Sidi Mohamed Oueld Errachid from the Istiqlal Party to serve as the next president of the House of Councillors for the second half of the chamber\u2019s legislative term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision comes in accordance with Article 63 of the constitution, which stipulates that the president of the House of Councillors, bureau members, and chairs and offices of the standing <\/a>committees shall be elected at the start of the legislative term and again at the midpoint of the chamber\u2019s legislative mandate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
